In early 2020, it became clear that the world is facing unprecedented challenges. Like you, we are deeply concerned and are committed to doing our part to keep our world safe and healthy for all. We would like to take a moment to provide you with a firsthand update on both the precautions and the proactive initiatives we are taking in connection with the COVID-19 situation. From the onset of this situation, we have been listening to the appropriate sources for accurate and up-to-date information on best practices and planning accordingly. We are humbled by your loyalty, and we take our responsibility to our customers and teams very seriously.

 

PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST

As the world navigates through an unprecedented circumstance and grapples with issues of such enormous scale - our primary goal is to keep our staff safe and healthy, while maintaining the standard of service and quality of design you have come to expect from Jonathan Simkhai.

We feel it is important that everyone in the company does their part to stay isolated from groups and partakes in social distancing during this sensitive time. As a result, we have closed our corporate office and retail flagship until further notice - all departments will continue standard operations while working remotely and all corporate travel is paused. Our distribution facility is operating under CDC compliant guidelines of essential business operations with a completely voluntary workforce, so that those concerned for the health and safety of themselves or their families may elect to stay home. 

At this time, no COVID-19 cases have been reported at our corporate office, retail flagship, or distribution center.

While we strive to protect our employees and supply-chain partners, we also continue to honor our commitments to our valued customers. Our online shopping destination JonathanSimkhai.com remains fully operational, and while we are taking proactive steps to ensure there is no interruption to our online store, we appreciate your cooperation in understanding that there may be minor delays in order fulfillment and return processing during this time.

Standard shipping services remain free of charge for all domestic orders over $100.00 USD so that you may enjoy the Jonathan Simkhai pieces you love from the comfort of your own home.

Our Client Services team has gone remote, and is fully accessible via clientservices@jonathansimkhai.com for information and support regarding all aspects of your online shopping experience. Additionally, our experienced retail team and personal shopping experts are working remotely, and are available via retail@jonathansimkhai.com for virtual personal shopping appointments, offering exclusive access to additional styles not available on our web store.

We now offer a newly implemented 24/7 online support center accessible in the lower right corner of JonathanSimkhai.com where you can connect with one of our specialists with any questions you may have. 

 

FOCUSING ON WHAT MATTERS

Our customers and our local communities are at the heart of our company, and now more than ever it is clear that we are all in this together, and the urgency to support this network has never felt stronger. As a Los Angeles based company, we have chosen to partner with the LA Food Bank, and donated a portion of all sales on JonathanSimkhai.com from the month of April 2020 towards providing healthy meals for hungry neighbors in Los Angeles County that have been affected by COVID-19 related income-loss, school closure, or social isolation.

DOING OUR PART

In an effort to help combat the spread of COVID-19 we have begun the process of strategically utilizing our sewing facilities and fabric supply-chain to produce masks for public use. Offered in variety packs containing a spectrum of colors that reflect our Jonathan Simkhai design codes, these masks are machine-washable for continued use, with an optional inside pocket for filters.

In addition to manufacturing our own fabric masks for consumer use, Jonathan Simkhai is actively involved in the Million Mask Challenge to help provide NYC and LA based hospitals in need with the donation of thousands of surgical masks.
